Predicting Everton’s final eight Premier League games and whether it’d be enough for Europe

Add as preferred source on Google

Everton have just eight games remaining of the Premier League season.

David Moyes’ side suffered a late 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, but they still remain in a strong position to qualify for Europe.

Everton reside in eighth, just one point behind Brentford in seventh, which is a UEFA Conference League spot.

Give us your gut feeling… will Everton make it into Europe? 🌍

That said, ahead of the final run-in, we’ve predicted the Toffees’ last eight games and where they’ll finish in the Premier League table.

Everton vs Chelsea (21 March)

Up next is a home clash against Chelsea, who are five points above the Merseysiders.

Liam Rosenior’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last time out, so Everton should fancy themselves to get three points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Prediction: Everton 2-1 Chelsea

Brentford vs Everton (11 April)

After the international break, Everton return to action with a trip to the capital to take on their European rivals Brentford.

The Bees won emphatically in the reverse fixture, but the Toffees will get revenge in this one.

Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Everton

Moyes’ current deal expires next year… 🤔

Everton vs Liverpool (19 April)

The first Merseyside derby at Everton’s new stadium takes place next month.

The Toffees will be determined to mark the occasion with a win, but they may have to settle for an entertaining score draw.

Prediction: Everton 2-2 Liverpool

West Ham vs Everton (25 April)

West Ham will be battling to survive at this stage of the season, so it’ll be a hostile atmosphere for the visitors.

Moyes’ men will come away with a decent point.

Prediction: West Ham 2-2 Everton

Everton vs Man City (2 May)

Everton play host to title challengers Manchester City at the start of May.

Pep Guardiola’s side won 2-0 in the reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium, and unfortunately, they may secure the double in this one.

Prediction: Everton 1-2 Man City

Crystal Palace vs Everton (9 May)

This will certainly be a game Everton will be targeting maximum points in, but they may come unstuck due to their profligate centre-forwards.

Ultimately, if they don’t manage to secure European football, it will be due to Thierno Barry and Beto’s lack of goals.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Everton vs Sunderland (17 May)

In the penultimate game of the season, Everton welcome Sunderland to the Hill Dickinson.

The Toffees will sign off at the new 52,000-seater stadium with a narrow victory.

Prediction: Everton 1-0 Sunderland

Tottenham vs Everton (24 May)

Tottenham are expected to be playing for their Premier League status when they host Everton on the final day of the season.

The stakes will be extremely high, and they’ll just get over the line to stay in the division.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Predicted final Premier League table

After going through and predicting every Premier League result from now until the end of the season, we’ve got Everton just missing out on European football.

We have the Toffees finishing on 55 points, just two behind Fulham in the Conference League.
