Everton travel to the East Midlands this evening to take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

David Moyes’ side are winless in three, having lost back-to-back games to Chelsea and Arsenal before a goalless draw at Burnley.

So Everton will be desperate to get back to winning ways against their former manager Sean Dyche tonight.

Premier League announce referee for Everton vs Nottingham Forest

The Premier League have announced that Michael Oliver will be the referee in charge of Everton’s clash at Nottingham Forest.

It will be the 63rd time Oliver has officiated a Toffees game, with the most recent one coming back in August at Molineux.

Moyes’ side won 3-2 that day, with a masterclass from Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

With that said, let’s take a deeper dive into how Everton have fared over the years with Oliver as the referee.

Everton’s record with Michael Oliver

Everton have a very mixed record under Oliver’s stewardship, as they’ve won 22 of their 62 games with him.

Interestingly, Oliver averages less than two yellow cards per game with the Toffees, so the data suggests he won’t be too keen to reach for his pocket this evening.
