Everton have really high hopes for teenage midfielder Harrison Armstrong.
David Moyes was actually hesitant to loan Harrison Armstrong as he felt he could play a part in the first team.
However, Moyes and his chiefs decided it would be best for his development to be a regular starter in the Championship.
Armstrong joined Preston North End and finally made his full debut for the club last night after a few cameo appearances.
Here’s what Preston fans had to say about the 18-year-old’s performance against Hull City.

Preston North End react to Harrison Armstrong’s full debut
Preston fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give their verdict on Harrison Armstrong’s first start for the club.
It’s fair to say the Everton loanee impressed.
“Harrison Armstrong absolutely fantastic in that first half by the way,” @nepdailypod posted.
“Armstrong looks cracking,” @dom_33 added.
@JamesBrewe5059 said: “What happened in that second half genuinely awful but we play like we did in that first half every game we genuinely will be up there this season. On a different note Harrison Armstrong is unbelievable!”
“What a baller Armstrong is btw,” @SamJayne11 noted.
@bullnorton commented: “Him (Armstrong) and Whiteman were excellent in doing different roles.”
“So much better than coming on as a sub,” @MrsWiggy73 explained.
Harrison Armstrong’s stats vs Hull City
Armstrong’s Sofascore statistics make for really impressive reading, with his pass completion rate near perfect.
The England youth international also won the majority of his ground duels and was able to break up the play superbly.
- 81 minutes
- 41 touches
- 92% pass completion
- 4/6 ground duels won
- 2 tackles
- 2 interceptions
Armstrong will surely retain his spot in the starting line-up for Charlton Athletic this weekend, and hopefully this kickstarts another productive loan spell.
Moyes wants Armstrong to develop physically before he becomes a key player for Everton, so that’s something that the Preston staff will look to help him with over the next eight months, or so.
