Southampton have rejected a bid from Bournemouth for Che Adams.

That’s according to TEAMtalk, who have reported that the Cherries are the first club to firm up their interest with an offer for the forward.

Adams moved to the south coast from Birmingham in City in a £15 million deal four years ago.

The striker scored 10 goals and provided three assists in all competitions for the Saints last season as they were relegated to the Championship.

The Scotland international is entering the final year of his contract at St Mary’s Stadium and Southampton are believed to be open to selling him on the right price if it means they won’t lose him for free next summer.

However, the likes of Bournemouth, Wolves and Everton are looking to snap him up on a bargain price, though Southampton were quick to turn down the former’s first offer.

How much could Che Adams cost Everton this summer after Bournemouth bid?

While there are a number of Premier League clubs confident they can get a good deal out of Southampton, the relegated side are unlikely to back down from their demands for Che Adams – as shown with Liverpool’s pursuit of Romeo Lavia.

Despite only having 12 months left on his contract, Adams could still reportedly cost up to £15m – the same amount the Saints paid for him.

With Everton set to pay the same fee for Youssef Chermiti this week, it would be a surprise to see them cough up even more cash to bring another striker to the club. The increasing list of teams interested in Adams will only push the price up further too.
