Middlesbrough forward Chuba Akpom is now the subject of an £8m bid from French side Lens.
The ‘strong’ 27-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Goodison Park this summer, however it seems that the Blues could now miss out on the 28-goal striker, unless they act fact.

Akpom’s goalscoring record at the Riverside last season was superb and it is no surprise that he is attracting the attention of a number of clubs, with the Daily Mail reporting Lens’ £8m bid.
Indeed, it was reported earlier this week that newly promoted Sheffield United were preparing a £10m bid for the ‘Boro forward.
Everton must fight to sign Chuba Akpom after losing out on several other strikers already this summer
Everton desperately need to add at least one goalscorer to their ranks this summer and Chuba Akpom would be an excellent signing for Sean Dyche.
The Toffees have so far added loan signing Arnaut Danjuma to their forward line, with Sporting CP youngster Youseff Chermiti having completed a medical with the club.

However, an out-and-out centre-forward is a must, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recurring injuries proving troublesome, while £15m man Neal Maupay has yet to settle.
Indeed, the Frenchman could leave Goodison Park just a year after his move from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Italian side Salernitana reportedly interested.

With 29 goals in all competitions, 28 of those in the league, Akpom’s prolific form could be ideal for Everton, who will be looking to avoid a third successive relegation scrap.
The Toffees stayed up by just two points last season having scored a woeful 34 Premier League goals, exemplifying the issue at hand at Goodison Park.
Indeed, if the Blues do not address the issue adequately this summer, it could be another tightrope walk this season for the club with the most top-flight games in English football.
With two bids already reportedly placed for Chuba Akpom, Everton must get the cheque book out for the 27-year-old.
