Everton are interested in signing Kalvin Phillips in January.
That’s according to inews, who have reported that the midfielder looks increasingly likely to leave Manchester City in the transfer window.
Phillips spent 12 years with Leeds United and quickly caught the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs when he helped the Whites win promotion, before winning the England Men’s Player of the Year after a stellar Euros campaign.
Phillips then went onto earn himself a £42 million move to Man City last summer, but has since only managed a total of 15 appearances in the top flight.

The 27-year-old was heavily linked with the exit door ahead of the current campaign and was even being touted by Liverpool, however he opted to remain at the Etihad Stadium to fight for his place.
Phillips’ only start this season has come in the Carabao Cup and has even found himself behind Rico Lewis following Rodri’s suspension.
The report has now claimed that Man City could look to send Phillips out on loan in January, with Everton one club that are very keen to snap him up.
It is thought that the Toffees had looked at a loan deal for the England international in the summer, however their financial restraints quickly ended their interest. A January move is only likely to materialise if their takeover is completed by then.
However, they could also face competition from Newcastle United who previously made an enquiry into his availability. West Ham and Liverpool were previous suitors, though both teams managed to bolster their midfields in the previous window.
Snap him up!
Kalvin Phillips is surely beginning to accept that he needs to leave Man City sooner rather than later. The midfielder is falling far down the pecking order and the summer arrivals of Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes makes life even harder for him.
If Everton are able to afford part of his wages then it would be a brilliant signing. Phillips is clearly a hugely talented player and has always been unbelievable for England, even when not making the cut for the Premier League champions.

Idrissa Gana Gueye has been far from good enough this season and Phillips would be a huge upgrade on the 34-year-old. The former Leeds United man could also see Goodison Park as a good opportunity to solidify his spot in the international team ahead of the 2024 Euros.
Hopefully Jack Harrison can work his magic, with the pair spending the past four years together at Elland Road. The Everton loanee is clearly a huge fan of his former teammate, previously labelling him as ‘class’ and ‘unbelievable’.
