Everton are ‘keen’ to launch a bid for El Bilal Toure.

That’s according to 90min, who have reported they are competing with Atalanta for his signature.

Toure joined Almeria from Reims in September and went onto score seven goals in an injury-stricken season, including a memorable strike against Barcelona to complete their first ever win over the Spanish giants.

While Football Insider have claimed that the 21-year-old is valued at £34 million, it has been stated that Atalanta are in talks over a €25m deal (£21.5m).

Everton are reportedly eager to match Atalanta’s bid for Toure, however they are not in a position to cough up the cash needed to battle for the forward.

The Italian club are likely to make around £60m if Rasmus Hojlund and joins Manchester United this summer, so they are likely to have a huge financial advantage of Everton in their pursuit of Toure.

Everton should end their pursuit of El Bilal Toure

El Bilal Toure looks to be another striker with a big price tag that Everton can’t afford and they should just look to end their interest now.

The Malian could prove to be a huge risk even if the Toffees were to match Atalanta’s bid, especially given his injury struggles over the last couple of years.

It is clear that Sean Dyche’s side are going to have to look for players on the cheaper side and they need to act fast if they are going to snap up the bargains and free transfers in the coming weeks.

Everton don’t want to take on Fulham in August with the same attacking options that they ended the previous season with.
