Rio Ferdinand has revealed the two Everton players he really wishes played for Manchester United, it’s not who you’d think.
Everton have been in sparkling form of late with three consecutive wins seeing them shoot up the table.
Sean Dyche can take a hefty amount of the credit however his players have been incredible and deserve the position they’ve found themselves in.
The defence has been immense with Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski both very solid.
Meanwhile, at the other end, Dwight McNeil has drawn comparisons to an Everton legend while his right-wing counterpart Jack Harrison has been lauded by Ian Wright.
Now, a claim has been made that this pairing could be exactly what one of the Premier League‘s biggest clubs needs.

Rio Ferdinand on Everton wingers
Speaking on the Vibe with Five podcast, Rio Ferdinand named two Everton players that he thinks would greatly improve Manchester United.
The two he named aren’t who you’d think with neither Branthwaite nor Amadou Onana mentioned despite both being heavily linked.
“If Man United had Olise, Jack Harrison, McNeil at Everton, Jacob Murphy at Newcastle – any one of those four wingers, I reckon he (Hojlund) would have five or six goals by now,” the retired defender explained.
“Why? Because they cross the ball. All four of those boys, their first thought is, get the ball, head down. Either beat the full-back and cross, or give me a yard and cross the ball. (West Ham’s Jarrod ) Bowen.”
Ferdinand then adamantly stated the reason he wanted them as he said: “These are guys who provide.” An area of weakness for United but The Toffees won’t be in any rush to let McNeil or Harrison go.
Everton can’t sell Dwight McNeil
While McNeil’s recent displays will undoubtedly have sparked some interest from some of the Premier League’s big hitters, Everton can’t cave in.
Onana and Branthwaite are two players heavily linked with moves away and McNeil is a third which Everton can’t afford to lose.
Losing any of these three would be a massive blow to Dyche’s plans however McNeil plays a role which is tough to replicate and can do so thanks to his outstanding relationship with Dyche.
