Armando Broja is yet to play for Everton after joining in the summer transfer window on loan, but it appears as if the wait could be coming to an end soon.

Sean Dyche has had to deal with just two fit strikers so far this season, with Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the line for Everton.

Calvert-Lewin has had his struggles with just two goals to his name in the Premier League in the current campaign, whilst Beto hasn’t been fancied but did manage to grab the equaliser against Fulham.

It might actually benefit Dyche to start Beto against Southampton at the weekend, as the emotion he showed at full-time and the confidence he picked up could put him on the right path.

Now, there could be another striker to throw into the mix as Sean Dyche has provided an update on Armando Broja‘s situation at Everton.

Sean Dyche issues Armando Broja update at Everton

Broja is going to need to hit the ground running if he’s to earn himself a permanent move to Goodison Park, as the Toffees have an option for the summer.

The striker situation couldn’t have gone more perfectly for him, as Dyche is still calling out for someone to ensure consistency at the pinnacle of the attack.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the Southampton clash, Dyche provided an update on Armando Broja’s situation.

“Yeah, he’s back, he’s working hard, his stats are good, but he’s still with the Sports Science team. The crossover will start to occur maybe even next week, where he’ll just start with the light stuff with us, join warm-ups and possession games, and then build into a kind of journey back to playing.

“But he’s been out a fair while, so he will have to have some games.”

Armando Broja has a part to play in Everton’s season

It feels as if every side that signs Armando Broja on loan is hoping that he can recreate the form he showed during his time at Southampton.

The only issue is, he just can’t stay fit.

Everton have had their own issues with Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffering injuries and Youssef Chermiti already out, so long-term he could be a risk.

However, he offers that arrogance in front of goal and selfishness that Calvert-Lewin could learn from, which is something Dyche will be hoping to see from him.

At 23, he still has plenty of time to learn and develop, plus he’s already shown how deadly he can be in front of goal.
