Sean Dyche is desperate for Everton to sign a talented midfielder this summer.
Dyche will be hoping to build on last season’s 15th-placed finish and despite losing Amadou Onana, the balance of the squad has certainly improved ahead of the new campaign.
Jesper Lindstrom, who recently arrived on loan from Napoli, scored a stunning free-kick against Preston North End in pre-season yesterday and already looks like a top addition.
Now, Dyche is thought to be keen on adding another midfielder to his ranks and his top target has just been revealed.

Sean Dyche makes Kalvin Phillips top target
Manchester City midfielder Kavlin Phillips has been a rumoured target of Everton over the last few weeks.
The £45m signing is expected to move on this summer and The Toffees are thought to be one of the interested suitors.
Now, according to TEAMtalk, Dyche has made him a priority signing, so a bid could arrive in the next few days.
Pep Guardiola evidently doesn’t see him in his plans and recently admitted in an interview that he isn’t sure where his future lies.
“Kalvin I don’t know what is going to happen with his situation,” the City boss said, via The Mirror.
Sean Dyche feels he can improve Kalvin Phillips
The report further adds that Dyche has been a long-term admirer of Phillips, so it’s little surprise to see Everton keep tabs on his situation.
The Toffees boss feels he can get the best out of the 28-year-old, who has been labelled ‘talented’ per The Guardian, and talks remain ongoing about a potential loan deal.
Though, after outlaying such a substantial wedge on his signature two years ago, it remains to be seen if City will sanction another temporary deal.
