Everton are in a brilliant position after a big turn around at Goodison Park, though one player’s situation still hasn’t changed.

Sean Dyche will be working hard to hold onto all of his current squad ahead of the January transfer window, with things finally moving in the right direction at Everton.

The Toffees have now gone unbeaten in their last four games in the Premier League, which is something fans never would have expected after picking up one point in the first five.

Interestingly, the goalscoring has actually be more shared around the team, with Iliman Ndiaye, Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Keane the only goalscorers in the top-flight this season.

However, it’s safe to say that more can be expected about Calvert-Lewin, as he’s often wasted chances presented to him in front of goal.

Now, Sean Dyche has come out and spoken about the future of the English striker, as well as making an interesting prediction about him.

Sean Dyche makes Dominic Calvert-Lewin prediction at Everton

Michael Keane’s finishing has been spoken more about than Calvert-Lewin in the current campaign.

Interestingly, clubs from Saudi Arabia and Italy have submitted an interest in Calvert-Lewin, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

However, Sean Dyche has come out and made an interesting prediction about the striker heading into the January transfer window.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said he expects him to run down his contract at Everton.

“But to be giving players away at any cost because you need some money, fortunately we’ve never been pushed that far and that’s still the same now.

“We can still make decisions on situations and I can’t see anything other than him being here certainly until the end of his contract and then hopefully beyond. We’ll see.

“Maybe that’s up for him to decide. Maybe it’s his agent, saying wait and see. I don’t know, and that would be fair, wouldn’t it?”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s struggles this season

Everton can count themselves lucky that the likes of McNeil, Keane and Ndiaye are chipping in with goals of their own, as Calvert-Lewin hasn’t been his normal self.

All these injuries appear to have knocked the confidence and ability right out of Calvert-Lewin in front of goal, as he looks a shadow of his former self.

It’s been claimed that the Friedkin Group actually want Calvert-Lewin to stay at Everton and sign a new deal, with them even making him a new promise.

Of course, there is the new stadium and the takeover to potentially persuade the striker that the future is bright, but the Toffees can’t keep on hoping he comes good.
