Everton have been urged to sign Kalvin Phillips in the January transfer window.
Kalvin Phillips joined Man City from Leeds United for £45 million in July 2022, having already earned his name in lights after a stellar EURO 2021 campaign.
However, things took a dramatic downturn following his move to the Etihad Stadium. Phillips has also managed a total of 16 appearances in the Premier League since his arrival 18 months ago.
Phillips was heavily linked with a move away in the summer, but opted to stay with the defending champions as he looked to claw his way into the first team.
However, after featuring for only 89 minutes in the top flight this term, the England international now looks set to leave this month.
Phillips has been linked with a host of European giants already, with the 28-year-old said to be the subject of interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Tottenham.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph have recently reported that Everton are ready to rival clubs for his signature, while Crystal Palace are also keen.
It may be a very ambitious move for The Toffees, but journalist Paul Brown has suggested it could be the perfect signing for them in the January window.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown said: “Yeah, I’ve always kind of said that I’d love to see Kalvin Phillips play at Everton. I think he would have been ideal for the club and fit right in with the way they are trying to play.

“To do it now seems, if it genuinely is a possibility, the timing doesn’t feel amazing, because I think Sean Dyche is slowly starting to get that midfield sorted. He’s slowly starting to find the right balance there already. Phillips clearly is a better player individually than any of the three or four that Everton can use in that engine room.”
Can Everton snap up Kalvin Phillips?
Kalvin Phillips was one of the best midfielders in the Premier League during his time with Leeds United, while he became one of England’s biggest stars as they reached the EURO final against Italy.
The midfielder has really struggled for minutes since joining Man City, but that isn’t anything to do with his talent or ability. Pep Guardiola clearly doesn’t favour the £45m man, while he is coming up against the likes of Rodri and John Stones for that defensive midfield spot.
There is a reason why so many clubs now want Phillips, and it would be a huge challenge for Everton to try and sign him, but it would be a move that could potentially save their season.
