Everton drew 1-1 with Leeds United on Monday night in the Premier League – and following the game Simon Jordan has issued a warning to David Moyes.
Thierno Barry scored his fourth goal in five Premier League games meaning the spoils were shared at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Fans were left disappointed by how Everton started the game.

But to his credit, David Moyes reacted to Leeds’ dominance and matched up their system.
The game was a missed opportunity, but Everton do remain in a good position in the Premier League table.

Simon Jordan shares warning to David Moyes

Jordan was giving his assessment of Everton after a year of The Friedkin Group’s ownership and Moyes returning as manager.
The former Crystal Palace owner reckons fans ought to be grateful for the club’s current position.
But he also feels that expectations will now be raised, as he sent a warning to the Everton manager.
He said on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning: “When you look at Everton’s journey, where they are now, they’ll be pleased for where they are compared with where they’ve been for the last five years.
“But given the fact they’ve built this marvellous stadium and given the fact that a stadium isn’t just there to house other activities, it’s there to produce a winning football team, Everton fans will – and rightfully so – start to demand that there’s an upward movement from circling the relegation area to moving into mid-table security and stability, to challenging the upper echelons.
“This is the step that David is going to have to take. He didn’t take it at West Ham and then the style of football became the overriding issue, and people started to lose their focus on what David actually achieved at West Ham, and started to look at what he hadn’t achieved. The same focus will come on David at Everton.
“They’ll be grateful and respectful of the achievements. They’ll be mindful of the fact that they were once, in the last four or five years, really in jeopardy. Then in about a year’s time it will be ‘What have you done for me lately?’
“And there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s the reality of the business you’re in, and why they’re paid big bucks to be football managers.”

Everton fans right to have high expectations
There is a massive respect from Evertonians of the job that Moyes has done at Everton.
He has completely stabilised the club, and this season has kicked on and got the Toffees challenging for Europe.
Now, with the position that Everton are in, it is inevitable that fans’ expectations will be high.

Ideally, The Friedkin Group would be taking the bull by the horns right now and helping Moyes strengthen his squad.
But sadly it looks like there’s a passive approach from the owners with regards to transfers, and that there will be a bigger push for new players in the summer.
So if Moyes does come up short for European football this season, it will be important to factor in the long term plan.
