Everton have been drawn against Sunderland in the third round of the FA Cup, and the clash will be staged at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes will face his former side Sunderland on the 10th of January, so it’s certainly a difficult test at such an early stage of the competition.
The Toffees were held to a score draw against Sunderland in the Premier League earlier this season, with Iliman Ndiaye netting a wondergoal.
With that said, Sunderland fans have been reacting to the FA Cup draw and are all saying the same thing about the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“I’ll certainly take it, love Everton,” @S4fcNi4ll noted.
@jakesafc2508 commented: “8k down there gonna be unreal.”
@AlfieB_safc clearly isn’t a fan of the Reds: “Belter that mind, 5000 of the finest descending into the better side of Merseyside.”
“Lovely, new ground to do, Let’s hope tickets are nice and cheap,” @nicholaswilso11 said.
Everton’s recent FA Cup record
Everton have won their last two FA Cup third-round clashes, but they exited in the fourth round in both of those years.
Their recent record in the competition doesn’t make for particularly great reading, although they did reach the last eight in 2021 and 2022.
| Season | Round acheived | Lost to | Score |
| 24/25 | Fourth Round | Bournemouth | 0:2 |
| 23/24 | Fourth Round | Luton Town | 1-2 |
| 22/23 | Third Round | Man United | 1-3 |
| 21/22 | Quarter Finals | Crystal Palace | 0-4 |
| 20/21 | Quater Finals | Man City | 0-2 |
Moyes will be desperate for a good cup run as winning the competition would be another avenue into Europe.
Plus, it’d be Everton’s first trophy since 1995, when they won the FA Cup against Manchester United at Wembley.
Paul Rideout scored the winner that day.
