Everton are set to be free from their PSR restrictions this summer transfer window.
After four years of budgeting, which forced them to sell some key assets, Everton are now back in control of their spending.
The Friedkin Group are ready to hand David Moyes a healthy budget in the hopes of eventually returning the club to Europe.
The American investors have big ambitions for Everton and speaking exclusively to the site back in December, Roma-based journalist Andrea Di Carlo explained that they envision a ‘football galaxy’ with their multi-club ownership model.
“But the Friedkins remain a very ambitious group, they want to excel in every field in which they invest, from cinema to sports, let alone in the most fascinating championship in the world like the Premier League,” Di Carlo said.
“It will take some time but soon we will understand how their football galaxy (Roma, Everton and Cannes) will have the opportunity to develop.”
With that said, it’s just emerged what they’re planning to do in the summer transfer window with the Toffees.

Friedkin Group keen to drive down average age of Everton squad
Everton have had an ageing squad for quite some time now and that was largely because of Sean Dyche’s approach to recruitment.
Dyche assembled a really experienced squad and in fact, the current group Moyes inherited has the third-highest average age in the entire Premier League, only behind West Ham United and Fulham.
| # | Club | Squad | Players used | Average age |
| 1 | Fulham FC | 25 | 26 | 27.8 |
| 2 | West Ham United | 27 | 27 | 27.7 |
| 3 | Everton | 25 | 26 | 27.6 |
According to i News, the Friedkin’s are keen to place emphasis on recruiting younger players this summer to drive down the average age.
Further, one Everton insider revealed that the club plan to strengthen in ‘every single department’, so it promises to be a very busy window.
Everton already eyeing quartet of youngsters
Clearly, the new recruitment policy is already well under way as Everton have been showing an interest in four different youngsters over the last few weeks.
Moyes is keeping close tabs on Sunderland teenager Chris Rigg, whilst Burnley’s Maxime Esteve is also being linked with a move to Goodison Park.
Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has been added to Everton’s shortlist after his impressive breakthrough season in the Premier League.
And, finally, 19-year-old Ben Doak is another youngster admired, with his price tag set at £30m by Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Doak has impressed on loan with Middlesbrough this season.
