Everton fans have been enjoying what they’ve been seeing so far from Carlos Alcaraz.
The star arrived at the club in January as the only signing of the window, joining on loan from Flamengo.
Everton have an option to buy on Carlos Alcaraz, and there is already a feel for some that the club should be exercising this come the summer.
Alcaraz has made five appearances so far, and last night he was in from the start against Brentford, with Abdoulaye Doucoure unavailable due to being at the birth of his child.
Alcaraz was excellent against the Bees, supplying three ‘key’ passes, creating one ‘big’ chance and also contested 12 duels.
It’s been a good start to life so far, and interestingly, there is one player at Liverpool who’s been helping him settle.
Everton star Carlos Alcaraz has a friend at Liverpool in Alexis Mac Allister

It was recently suggested that Jack Harrison has really helped Alcaraz at Everton, with the pair having struck up a friendship early doors.
Harrison speaks Spanish, and has become close with Everton’s newest signing and helped him to communicate.
But Harrison is not the only player who’s been helping Alcaraz settle, with one player from Liverpool also helping.
As per the Daily Mail, that player is Alexis Mac Allister, who of course is from Argentina like Alcaraz.
Alcaraz is yet to play with Mac Allister at international level, with the Everton man still waiting to earn his first cap.
But the pair know one another and it seems that despite the Everton-Liverpool rivalry, Mac Allister is on hand to support Alcaraz following his move to Merseyside.
David Moyes pleased with Carlos Alcaraz
Getting Alcaraz to settle quickly at Everton is important and so far, it doesn’t sound like he’s had too many issues and everyone has been supportive. And fair play to Mac Allister too.
Alcaraz looks like he has the potential to be a real cult hero for Everton, with his work rate and eye to make things happen.
He’s made a great start, and David Moyes praised Alcaraz after the draw with Brentford, saying: “Isn’t it what we want? We want players providing competition; we want players who we can bring off the bench to help us
“I thought Charly played really well tonight; I just thought he ran out of a little bit of juice towards the end. If we had another midfield player, we probably would have changed him.”
Moyes is said to feel he’s unearthed a diamond in Alcaraz, and hopefully he will continue on his current trajectory until the end of the season.
