Everton have a lot left to do in the summer transfer window.
Carlos Alcaraz and Thierno Barry have already completed transfers to Finch Farm, but David Moyes and his Everton chiefs know there is a pressing need for several more additions.
The Toffees are in talks to sign James McAtee from Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola placing a £35m price tag on the 22-year-old.
However, Nottingham Forest have moved ahead in the race to sign him and West Ham United are also advancing.
Whilst there is clearly a need for a creative midfielder, Moyes has now made one position his top priority ahead of the pre-season tour in the United States of America later this month.

David Moyes’ top priority position at Everton
After Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom’s departures, Everton are looking very light on the flanks, especially on the right.
Dwight McNeil is the only senior right winger at the club, and even then, he operated best in the number 10 role last term.
That said, according to the Athletic, Moyes and his chiefs are making a new right-sided attacker a ‘top’ priority before any other areas of the pitch.
The Toffees have already missed out on Johan Bakayoko, as he’s now completed a switch to Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
Everton’s three-man winger shortlist
Moyes has been drawing up a winger shortlist with his recruitment team, and it’s understood that three players are considered genuine targets.
The Toffees have Takefuso Kubo on their radar after his impressive performances with Real Sociedad over the last few seasons.
West Bromwich Albion’s Tom Fellows is also of interest, and it was reported that a deal could accelerate after the under-21 European Championships.
Omari Hutchinson is the final name on the list, however, Brentford are in pole position to land his signature at this stage.
