Everton fans are hoping to see the signing of a creative forward this summer, and Leo Scienza might just fit the bill.
The winger from Southampton has really caught the eye this term, and has helped his side reach the Play-off final.

There's going to be some different opinions on this! 🫣
Last night there was huge news as the EFL expelled Southampton from the Play-off final, although the Saints are appealing.
But Everton scouts will surely have eyes on the game if that appeal is successful and they get back in, with Scienza someone they’ve long been tracking.
But a new report suggests the Toffees will not have it easy to sign him, with several other clubs circling.
Leo Scienza wanted by Everton, AS Roma and others

Scienza has scored 10 goals and made 10 assists in 47 appearances this season, emphasising his status as one of the top attacking talents currently in the EFL.
The Brazilian has drawn praise for his creativity, flair and intelligence, and his contributions this term recently led to him winning both the Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season awards at Southampton.
Inevitably, he has drawn a lot of attention – and a report from Sky Sports has named who is currently in the race for him alongside Everton.
They are:
- Tottenham Hotspur
- Aston Villa
- AS Roma
- Atalanta
- Flamengo
- Palmeiras
Of course, one of those clubs in particular will raise some eyebrows within the Everton fanbase.
Roma, of course, are also owned by The Friedkin Group, so there could be some criticism going their way if Scienza heads to their Italian club.
Scienza valuation
The report from Sky also says that ‘a transfer fee of over €30 million’ is on the table for Scienza, and that the player has no release clause this summer.
This would make him one of the biggest sales ever by a Championship club. Interestingly, Scienza has hinted he could leave if Southampton stay in the Championship, which at the moment is the case.
That fee, which is around £26 million converted, is around the amount Everton have been reported to be willing to pay to sign Jack Grealish permanently.
What would you do if you were Angus Kinnear this summer? 🫣
It’s also thought that Tyrique George’s buy option is in that kind of ballpark.
It remains to be seen if Everton will push for Scienza, but assuming the situation doesn’t change and they remain in the Championship, one would imagine there is a decent chance the Toffees will make an approach.
But clearly there are a lot of eyes on him, so Everton will not have it easy.
