The summer transfer window can finally be put to bed, and Everton’s full focus can return to the games played on a weekend.

It was certainly a rollercoaster of a transfer window, with David Moyes starting off the summer by losing so many of his players.

Everton have made a positive start to the season, having picked up six points from their opening three Premier League games.

Adding to that, a win in the Carabao Cup against Mansfield Town, Moyes must be delighted with what he has seen.

On deadline day, Everton made Merlin Rohl their ninth signing of the summer, which capped off huge player turnover on Merseyside.

The impact already has been positive from some of their new players, with one specifically impressing behind the scenes.

The Everton summer signing impressing in training

Jack Grealish has really impressed at Everton in his opening games on Merseyside, having already racked up four assists.

He is not the only Everton summer signing to impress, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also showing his quality in these early stages.

However, speaking on TalkSPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs has said he’s been told how good Thierno Barry has been in Everton training.

“I’m told that Thierno Barry, in training, is just wowing everyone,” said Jacobs.

“I think he is one of the players that will break very quickly onto the Premier League scenes, as well. I think even Mark Travers is a pretty decent signing for £4m. It’s an A [grade] for Everton, for me.”

In contrast, Chris Sutton has shared his concerns about Barry, who is still waiting to find the back of the net for the Blues.

It is still very early days in the youngster’s career on Merseyside, but it seems he is doing all he can behind the scenes to impress his 62-year-old manager.

Thierno Barry will need to remain patient at Everton

Beto has been placed back into the starting XI and got his name on the scoresheet over the weekend against Wolves.

Tim Sherwood praised Beto after scoring against Wolves, which may have only knocked back Barry’s opportunities in the starting XI.

Everton face Wolves, ironically, in the next round of the Carabao Cup, and this may well offer Barry the perfect opportunity to showcase his talent.

For now, all he can do is continue to impress behind the scenes at Finch Farm and impress the likes of Moyes and his teammates.
