If you are a tennis fan, you’ll no doubt be tuned into the French Open at the moment.

Moyes outers… is there anything he can do to change your mind? 🤔
The World number 61 is a huge Toffees supporter, so we decided to give you his background and how he became a Blue.

Tennis star Alexei Popyrin is a massive Everton fan
Alexei Popyrin is an Australian-born Tennis player who is currently ranked 61st in the world, with a previous highest ranking of 19 last year.
Popyrin is expected to feature in his seventh Wimbledon this summer, with the third round the furthest he’s ever reached.
The 26-year-old’s most famous win came back in 2024, when he dumped Novak Djokovic out of the US Open.
Popyrin is actually an Everton fan, as he fell in love with the club around 2007 when compatriot Tim Cahill was plying his trade on Merseyside.
He’s avidly kept tabs on the club ever since and follows them on Instagram, along with first-team players Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Michael Keane.
So, if you find yourself watching Wimbledon this summer, keep your eye on Popyrin and get behind the Australian Toffee.
