The first Merseyside derby against fierce rivals Liverpool takes place on the 28th of November at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the reverse clash at Anfield will be held on the 30th of January.

Many Toffees fans have pointed out that David Moyes’ side have a favourable start to the campaign, with a good opening six games.

However, there are two months that stand out as really tricky periods for the Merseysiders.

Everton have a tricky October and March in 2026/27 season

October looks like it’ll be a really testing period for Everton, and it will be a marker for how much progress they’ve made.

The Toffees have three away games, and they’re up against the reigning Premier League champions Arsenal one week after a clash against Xabi Alonso’s new-look Chelsea side.

Even the away trip to Hull City could be a potential slip-up fixture, as the newly promoted sides are often pretty decent on their own patch.

The month ends at St James’ Park, which is notoriously one of the most difficult grounds to play at in the Premier League.

March also looks like a trying time for Everton, and it could end up defining where they finish in the league table.

They have three games on the bounce against the traditional big six, and Tottenham are expected to be much stronger next term under Roberto De Zerbi.

Four points would be a respectable return from that run heading into the international break.
