Everton have a rich history of developing players from their prestigious academy.
Wayne Rooney is indeed the most notable example whilst Leon Osman and Tony Hibert are also success stories.
Jarrad Branthwaite, although signed from Carlisle, is a current case study of an academy graduate and he looks well-placed to have a glittering career at the top level.
In fact, Manchester United are showing an interest in Branthwaite ahead of the January transfer window, though, they’ll have to meet his £75m valuation to even get Everton thinking.
The Toffees are hopeful of more success stories from Finch Farm’s academy over the next few years and it’s just emerged that coaches believe two youngsters are destined for bright futures.

Harrison Armstrong and Roman Dixon tipped for big future at Everton
According to i News, Everton believe they have two ‘outstanding prospects’ on their books in the shape of teenage duo Harrison Armstrong and Roman Dixon.
Both have already made their debuts for The Toffees with Dixon playing the full 90 against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season.
Armstrong, who is two years younger than 19-year-old Dixon, started against Southampton in the Carabao Cup and is regularly part of Sean Dyche’s matchday squad.
Everton are keen not to ‘block the pipeline’ for their highly-rated youngster as Kevin Thelwell admits he’d be silly to spend big on a player in the same position.
“I’d be daft to spend millions on a player when we’ve got one who might come through,” the sporting director said.
“I’d much rather give him the opportunity than spend that money and luckily we’ve got first-team coaches who feel the same.”
There’s also a buzz around Braiden Graham
Armstrong and Dixon are evidently the closest academy stars to the first-team but there’s also a ‘genuine buzz’ around Braiden Graham.
Graham, who is a Northern Ireland youth international, plies his trade as centre-forward for the under-18s and is prolific.
The 2007-born has netted six times in seven outings so far this season and was rewarded with a professional contract earlier this month.
So Graham is certainly one to keep an eye on.
