Everton made seven additions in the summer transfer window and all have had varying degrees of success.

Iliman Ndiaye has perhaps been the pick of the bunch as he continues to impress Sean Dyche and the Goodison Park faithful.

In fact, Everton fans were blown away by Ndiaye’s performance against West Ham last time out, despite operating out of position on the left wing.

Aside from Ndiaye, none of Everton’s other summer signings have really hit the ground running so the club could look to dip into transfer window for further reinforcements.

To get the lowdown on that, Everton News spoke to transfer expert Graeme Bailey on Wednesday to get the latest on possible deals that could take place on Merseyside,.

Tariq Lamptey is on Everton’s radar

Speaking exclusively to Everton News, Graeme Bailey revealed that Brighton and Hove Albion right-back Tariq Lamptey is definitely on their radar.

“I spoke to people around him (Lamptey). It won’t be in January, but he’s out of contract in the summer, and he’s certainly on their radar,” Bailey explained.

“From what I can gage, I don’t think Everton are keen on spending a whole lot in January, just because there are going to be a lot of changes coming at the club with the Friedkins and the squad.

“Obviously there are going to be a lot of changes coming over the next 12 months. I think they may bring a right-back in, whether that’s on loan and Lamptey is definitely on their radar. Although, he has got a lot of interest abroad.”

Lamptey is thought to be attracting interest from West Ham United, too.

Lamptey stats vs Seamus Coleman

If Everton were to sign Lamptey, he’d likely be the long-term successor to Seamus Coleman, who recently celebrated his 36th birthday.

So, lets take a look at how their statistics compare.

Evidently, Lamptey is the far superior attacking right-back but Coleman pips the youngster in the defensive statistics.

So, his potential arrival would bring a completely new profile to Dyche’s set-up – which is much needed indeed.
