There are six clear reasons why Liam Delap should choose to join Everton this summer over other Premier League clubs

Everton fans are expecting to see the club land at least one new striker this summer.

David Moyes is facing the prospect of losing both Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the next transfer window.

Broja has endured an injury-hit campaign, and that has prevented him of making a case to be bought permanently by Everton.

It’s thought that Broja will return to his parent club Chelsea.

Calvert-Lewin is expected to leave as a free agent when his contract expires.

So Everton need a couple of strikers, and one man Everton have eyes on is Ipswich Town star Liam Delap.

After David Moyes suggest he is a player Everton would consider, here are a few reasons why Delap – who Everton fans had a lot to say about on Saturday – should genuinely consider joining the Toffees this summer.

By choosing Everton, Delap would get to spend half the season playing at the stunning new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton’s new ground has been hailed as a feat of engineering, and is in a beautiful setting.

It’s also expected to become of the Premier League’s more intimidating grounds given the steepness within.

Between that, and the passion of the Everton fans, playing at BMD would be a great experience for any player.

He’d be the main man and play regularly

Delap is wanted by several big clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

But with Everton badly needing a new number nine, there is a much greater chance for Delap to actually continue playing regularly at Bramley-Moore Dock.

And not only that, he’d surely be the main man for Everton, which would be a nice feeling for any player.

Everton boast creative players to help Delap thrive

Everton have struggled in front of goal this season.

But the struggles mainly came when Sean Dyche was in charge, and Everton have also had injuries to key players this term.

But Delap should consider Everton as there’s potential he’d get pretty good service next season.

Iliman Ndiaye has impressed massively in his debut season for the Toffees and is someone who makes things happen.

Dwight McNeil is also a creative force, having made six assists.

There is then of course, the likelihood that Everton will sign better wide players this summer.

Delap is still only 22 years old.

That means there is plenty of time left in his career for him to be making a move to a club like United or Chelsea.

Delap doesn’t need to rush into joining a top club. Everton are an exciting project, and even have the potential to become a top club that will fight for silverware in the coming years.

He’d work under a great manager

Everton are now back under the management of David Moyes, who has been brilliant since his return to the club earlier this year.

Moyes has had a terrific impact on Beto sine coming in, and there’s no reason why he can’t do the same with Delap.

Moyes is obviously hugely experienced and could help Delap to develop his game further.

Exciting times await at Everton under The Friedkin Group after slump

Everton have been languishing at the wrong end of the time for too long now.

But after years of mismanagement by Farhad Moshiri, Everton now have new owners in The Friedkin Group, who have big plans for the club.

Everton can be seen as a much more exciting project now, with TFG expected to splash the cash and provide Moyes with the players he needs to get the club back into Europe.

Delap has the opportunity to be the ‘face’ of the new Everton, and help fire the club back into Europe.
