Three potential Seamus Coleman replacements Everton could sign

Everton will be without Seamus Coleman next season.

Seamus Coleman has announced that he will be leaving Everton this summer, at least as a first-team player.

There is still a possibility that Coleman stays on as a coach, but no decision will be made until after his holiday.

Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔

Anyhow, David Moyes is in the market for a successor, as Jake O’Brien is expected to move back to his favoured position at centre-back.

With that said, here are three right-backs the Toffees should consider signing as Coleman’s replacement.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – West Ham United

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is being looked at by Moyes after West Ham United suffered relegation to the Championship on the final day of the Premier League season.

A £10m deal is being mooted for Wan-Bissaka, which seems like a bargain considering his Premier League experience.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

The only downside is that the 28-year-old isn’t great going forward and Everton really do need to ensure their full-backs are contributing in the final third next season.

That was certainly a limitation of O’Brien and Vitalii Mykolenko last term.

Kieran Trippier – Newcastle United

Kieran Trippier would be a really shrewd addition for Everton as he’s set to become a free agent once his Newcastle United contract expires.

Wolves are close to landing Trippier’s signature, but if the Toffees made a late move, they’d probably be able to hijack the deal.

The former England international is exceptional going forward and remains one of the best crossers in the Premier League.

He’d be a striker’s dream at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Milan van Ewijk – Coventry City

Milan van Ewijk has been linked to Everton previously, so Moyes is clearly an admirer of the Coventry City right-back.

Van Ewijk registered nine assists for the Championship winners last term, evincing his impressive attacking threat.

He’s not as solid defensively as the aforementioned two full-backs, so that would be one potential drawback.

But, the Dutchman is only 25-years-old, so he has plenty of room to develop and get even better under Moyes’ stewardship.

Whether Everton would be able to get him out of Coventry is another matter, especially with Frank Lampard in charge.
