Everton are actively looking to sign a centre-back this summer transfer window.

David Moyes is considering signing John Stones from Manchester City, however, Tottenham Hotspur are also very keen.

Everton have looked at Maxime Esteve, too, with the Burnley star expected to leave after suffering relegation.

Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔

Everton target Roggerio Nyakossi wants Liverpool move

It has been reported that Everton are exploring a deal to sign Roggerio Nyakossi from Belgian outfit OH Leuven.

Nyakossi, who is captain of Switzerland’s under-21s, has really kicked on since leaving Marseille in January 2025.

The 22-year-old is a powerful and pacey defender who stands at 6ft 4in tall, so clearly Moyes wants a more physically gifted partner for Jarrad Branthwaite next season.

However, according to a report from Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad in March, ‘Nyakossi would very much like to play for Liverpool.’

The Reds are keen on landing his signature, so there could be a transfer battle between the two Merseyside clubs this summer.

Indeed, Everton would be able to offer regular first-team football, so that could be the convincing factor to make the switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Liverpool are also managerless at the moment after Arne Slot’s sudden departure, so Moyes and his recruitment chiefs should take advantage of that and wrap up a deal quickly.

The window officially opens on Monday, the 15th of June, but deals can be pre-agreed and ready for the date.
