Everton fans are excited for the summer, as The Friedkin Group look to start off the Bramley-Moore Dock era in the best possible way.

Everton are already planning for next term, with safety having been secured.

In the end, David Moyes kept Everton in the Premier League with ease.

The goal now is to push on, with the Toffees wanting to return to former glories.

Everton have been languishing at the wrong end of the table for too long now, and fans are hopeful that TFG can set an exciting new course.

It’s a huge summer, with a lot of players set to leave.

But pundit Tony Cascarino is optimistic that a very good season lies in store for Everton.

A realistic target for Everton next season will probably to finish in mid-table or perhaps sneak into the top 10.

That would represent could progression.

But some fans are already daring to dream about securing European football in TFG’s first full season of owning the club.

That will be a tall order. But pundit Tony Cascarino believes Everton could be ‘way above mid-table’ in 2025/26.

He said: “I don’t think there’s any… there’ll be no feelings of relegation battles now. I think the club are going to be really ambitious in the transfer market.

“David Moyes has probably got his ideas about what type of player (he wants).

“I expect Everton, now, to be way above mid-table. I think it’ll be different there.

“Even though it’s a new stadium, I still think there’s an enthusiasm drive that will come from Moyes. They’re an attractive club.”

Given how well things have gone so far sine TFG came in, there will natural be some high expectations next season.

Everton have not threatened to qualify for a European competition for years now, and the likelihood is that it may still be a couple of years away.

Some will share Cascarino’s thoughts about the club heading in an exciting new direction and finishing way above mid-table.

But TFG have a lot to do this summer and there will be a high turnover of players. Indeed, Alan Shearer expressed his concern at seeing so many Everton players out of contract, and it will be a difficult couple of months after the season has finished.

So expectations need to be tempered. Realistically, sneaking into the top 10 would be a great achievement.
