Trent Alexander-Arnold speaking positively about Goodison Park and Everton isn’t a familiar sight, but the Liverpool star put his rivalry aside with an honest admission.

Everton have their sights set on making it five games unbeaten in the Premier League after a terrific turnaround from Sean Dyche‘s side.

The Toffees face a difficult test on Saturday evening though, with Marco Silva and his Fulham side set to travel to Goodison Park.

Marco Silva speaks very highly of his time at Everton, describing it as a special time for him. But, now all that matters for him now is getting the three points at current club Fulham.

Interestingly, Everton received some praise from an unlikely player recently, as Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke out about the Toffees and Goodison Park.

Trent Alexander-Arnold drops his verdict on Goodison Park

Trent Alexander-Arnold has developed into one of the best passers in world football, which has made up for his slightly questionable defending at times.

Players and managers in England all seem to have a special place for Goodison Park and its history.

When speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke about how Goodison Park is the toughest stadium he’s played at.

“Toughest in the sense of it’s Always a dog fight with Everton throughout my career. It’s kind of been quite balanced I would say we’ve had a lot, we’ve had a few wins, they’ve had a couple of wins, and there’s been a lot of draws. Yeah it’s been a bit of a dogfight.”

Armando Broja also spoke out about Goodison Park after joining in the summer, mentioning how the atmosphere was what stood out for him as an opposition player.

“The main thing that stood out for me playing at Goodison in the past was the fans. It was loud. Being on the away team, the atmosphere was remarkable. It’s special and I can’t wait to be on the right side of the fans this time!” he said.

“They’re an amazing fanbase and they really love their football. Hopefully I can make a positive impact on them.

“The stadium has been around for a long, long time. Much longer than me! There are so many memories here and it’ll be very nice to play here before we move.”
