Everton fans will be hoping to see their side continue the impressive work under the Friedkins in the January transfer window.
David Moyes will also be hoping to see the spending continue after what was a solid summer transfer window under the American owners.
On Friday, The Friedkin Group marked their first anniversary since securing the keys to Everton from Farhad Moshiri.
So much has changed for the better in that time, but there is still a lot for the Blues to improve on if they are to get to where they want to be.
Moyes was delighted with Everton’s summer transfer business but not every requirement could be covered in just one window.
With the January transfer market now just days away from opening, Troy Deeney has named the Toffees as a potential landing spot for one Premier League player.

Troy Deeney moots Everton as possible landing spot for Kobbie Mainoo
It has been suggested that Everton would be keen to sign Kobbie Mainoo next month on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Manchester United midfielder has seen his future thrown up in the air over recent weeks as he continues to struggle for game time under Ruben Amorim.
Speaking on The Football Exchange, Deeney has admitted he could envisage Mainoo making the move to Everton in January.
Pundits are divided on him, but what are your thoughts on Everton-linked Kobbie Mainoo? 🤨
“So you’re probably going to go, if you stay in England, to a Fulham or an Everton,” said Deeney.
“He will then go into your dressing room and for the first month or the first week and you will get the great version and then you get what you’re getting from [Alejandro] Garnacho [at Chelsea].”
In contrast, Paul Scholes is a massive fan of Mainoo having watched the midfielder rise up through the ranks at United.
An interesting few weeks certainly lie ahead for the 20-year-old midfielder, who could certainly offer an improvement to what Everton currently have on offer.
Everton should risk loaning Mainoo despite concerns
There are clearly some concerns surrounding the midfielder, with Roy Keane warning Everton over Mainoo’s recent issues.
His lack of game time has become a real public matter after his brother voiced his frustrations through a viral image of him wearing a ‘Free Kobbie Mainoo’ t-shirt at a recent match.
You can only pick one in January, who are you taking? 🤔
Everton are lacking in midfield options currently as Idrissa Gana Gueye plays for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The other option currently being weighed up is over Harrison Armstrong’s future.
Moyes has admitted he’s considering recalling Armstrong from Preston North End, but the midfielder will then need minutes guaranteed to him to continue his development.
January is set to be an interesting month for the Blues.
