Everton face the bottom side in the Premier League up next with a trip to Southampton, but there has been some negative injury news that emerged prior.
Sean Dyche has been dealt his fair share of injury issues in recent weeks, and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better at this moment in time.
One positive is the fact that Jarrad Branthwaite should be ready to start from the off after returning to play four minutes last weekend against Fulham.
However, there’s concern over Dwight McNeil, with the winger facing a wait to see if he’s fit enough to take part against Southampton.
But that’s not the only update Sean Dyche delivered at his press conference, as one development left fans far from happy.

Sean Dyche issues James Garner injury update
Everton must have some kind of issue going on behind the scenes to have this many injuries occur only months into the Premier League season.
One player who’s been extremely unlucky is James Garner, who was just starting to really impress in what was a new position on the right-hand side.
James Garner was confirmed to have a back injury a couple of weeks ago.
However, now it’s been stated that the midfielder is set to be out for over a month, according to Paul Joyce, who relayed Dyche’s comments.
Everton fans react to James Garner’s injury update
These Everton fans, when speaking on X, are all disappointed with the news, and a couple even blamed Sean Dyche for it.
“The first thing the owner needs to address is the squad depth.”, @Lea_EFC said.
@abbey1878 wasn’t happy: “Week ruined bye.”
@mxrganhulme7 stated: “Wouldn’t be offering him a new contract.”
@ElliotB1878 mentioned: “You’d think James garner is a chimney sweeper with how much he does his back in.”
“Swerve giving him a new deal with that back of his.”, @MeDoyle88 also told Everton to avoid a new deal.
@melbourne1973 commented: “Oh. This clown hasn’t been sacked yet then? Can’t wait for another tactical master-class for this weekend.”
