West Ham United are reportedly in talks to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave Everton on a free transfer next month after he decided to snub David Moyes’ contract offer.

Newcastle United have been looking at Calvert-Lewin, whilst Arsenal have been credited with an interest in the past.

Now, it appears that West Ham are trying to sign Calvert-Lewin, with a £100k-a-week contract set to be offered.

West Ham fans have been reacting to the rumour on X, formerly known as Twitter.

West Ham United fans all agree on Dominic Calvert-Lewin signing from Everton

Hammers supporters aren’t best pleased with the Calvert-Lewin news, as they’ve heavily criticised the potential transfer from Everton.

“Yes let’s solve our striker issues with signing a player who can’t stay fit for most of the season and who has averaged 4 goals a season for the last 4 years,” @hawley_joseph said.

@Ironssparky1985 explained: “I know Potter was out for 2 years but does he realise Calvin Lewin has also basically been out that same amount of time with injuries! Wake up Potter!”

@lee_leehatch99 said: “Made of glass. Please, please, West Ham, don’t sign him! 100k a week behave. Sign someone young fit and talented and fits into our system of play ffs!!!”

“Send us down now,” @DanJames9121 commented.

“Might as well keep Antonio if that’s the case,” @robbie_gates added.

@reecebriscoe66 posted: “Hate my football club.”

Calvert-Lewin would be a good signing if he can stay fit

Calvert-Lewin is actually a very well-rounded centre-forward, and when in a rhythm, he’s shown to be prolific.

The issue is, injuries have seriously plagued his career, and he is only just coming back from a hamstring injury.

If the Hammers can keep Calvert-Lewin fit, it could prove to be a really shrewd signing given there’s no transfer fee attached.

Though, there have been reports over the last couple of hours suggesting Graham Potter isn’t even interested, so only time will tell.
