Everton have just been given their full 2025/26 Premier League fixture list.
Everton open the season against newly-promoted Leeds United at Elland Road, which certainly won’t be an easy game.
The Merseyside Derbies will be held on the 20th of September and the 18th of April, with the latter at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees won’t be playing on Boxing Day this year, instead, they’ve been handed an away trip to Burnley on the 27th.
With all that said, Everton fans have had a lot to say about the fixture list.

Everton fans are outraged by two Premier League fixtures
Everton fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the Premier League fixture list announcement, and it’s fair to say they aren’t happy.
They feel they’ve drawn the short straw, with an away game to open and end the season.
“Away first & last game what a joke,” @efc_michael1878 posted.
@OscarTomo94 commented: “Never known us to be away first and last games of the season.”
@3andcaptain noted: “Away first, last, Boxing Day and the pre new years game. That’s rough that.”
“Away first and last game is a joke,” @lukeblack85 added.
@78Blue18 asked: “Why are we Away first and last game?”
@ManofSteel1821 said: “Away first and last games of the season, unusual.”
Everton should be getting two wins from first three
Everton, on paper, have been given a pretty favourable first three games of the season, with two against relegation favourites.
- 18 Aug – Leeds United (A)
- 23 Aug – Brighton (H)
- 30 Aug – Wolves (A)
Indeed, considering Leeds are at home, it will be a difficult atmosphere to play in, but there should be a clear quality difference.
David Moyes‘ side should fancy themselves in the first official game at the Hill Dickinson against Brighton, and of course, away at Wolves is winnable.
So, with expectations much higher next term, the Toffees should be aiming to pick up at least two wins, if not three on the trot.
The Friedkins are planning to invest heavily this summer, so the squad will be much more balanced, with more goals in attack.
Everton are reportedly eyeing a £33m deal to sign Thierno Bary, who’s just come off the back of a prolific debut season with Villarreal.
