Everton have a new stadium to look forward to in 2025, and Carlo Ancelotti made a very interesting comment on the prospects during his time at Goodison Park.

Carlo Ancelotti isn’t enjoying the best of times at Real Madrid right now, as reports have started to emerged about a potential sacking in Spain.

Los Blancos have lost two of their last three games, which included a thumping defeat to Barcelona and conceding three goals in a loss to AC Milan.

Everton fans will be familiar with these type of results from his time at Everton, though he has achieved an awful lot since departing Goodison Park all those years ago.

Interestingly, with the Italian possibly out of a job soon, there have been comments resurfacing from his time at Everton, with one comment he made on the new stadium coming up in particular.

Carlo Ancelotti speaks on Everton’s dream for the new stadium

Carlo Ancelotti left his post at Everton in June 2021 after 18 months. During his time on Merseyside he guided the Toffees to respective 12th and 10th-placed finishes.

His stock has certainly risen since leaving Everton as he’s gone on to win two Champions League trophies, as well as many other honours, including the UEFA Super Cup.

Speaking to BT Sport during his time as Everton boss, Ancelotti shared his personal aspirations at Everton and the dream for the club in the new stadium.

“I think I see Everton at the top of the table, fighting for some title. Competitive in Europe, in a new stadium, with all the crowd that sing my song. This is the dream, no?”

Is there a chance of a reunion with Carlo Ancelotti?

We know that the Friedkin Group are holding off on any Hollywood managerial appointment until the new stadium opens and safety is secured in the Premier League.

If Carlo Ancelotti stays until the end of the season at Real Madrid, he is set to leave regardless, so there will naturally be that availability.

He ended up jumping ship for Real Madrid which won’t have gone down too well with Everton fans, but you can’t really blame him when you see what he’s achieved.

The Italian certainly knows how to win trophies and could attract some big names.

However, there’s that similarity to Sean Dyche with the style they like to operate with, as the current Everton boss has previously spoken to him about his tactics, so how much different would it be?
