Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer are two of the biggest pundits in English football, and they’ve given their thoughts on Jordan Pickford’s display for England against Greece.
We’re running out of words to describe Jordan Pickford.
The Everton shot-stopper has now made 11 saves in two games for club and country.
West Ham will still be having nightmares about the late save Pickford made to keep the score at 0-0 at the London Stadium. He followed it up with a five-save performance against Greece last night.
Sam Allardyce recently spoke about how impressed he is with Pickford and his mentality and even mentioned a moment in the Everton dressing room.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer brought his performance against Greece up on their podcast earlier on today, and they were both in agreement.

Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer both impressed by Jordan Pickford’s display against England
Alan Shearer, Micah Richards and Gary Lineker all slammed Pickford for his performance back in September when England suffered defeat at the hands of Greece.
However, it was a completely different story this time round for the Three Lions and Pickford.

England’s clean sheet was largely down to the performance of Pickford, with many football fans even hailing him as the greatest ever to wear the number one shirt.
Lineker and Shearer noticed how well the 30-year-old played, as they spoke on The Rest is Football YouTube channel.
Shearer said.
“I thought Pickford did well as well you know.”
Lineker responded.
“Yes. He pulled off two great saves.”
Shearer then replied.
“He pulled off two really important saves.”
What happened with Jarrad Branthwaite and his England call-up?
Jarrad Branthwaite was named in the England squad after a number of withdrawals, but he ended up having to withdraw himself due to injury.
It’s believed Branthwaite is dealing with a pelvic bone problem. However, it’s not feared to be serious, and Everton are hopeful he’ll be available for selection against Brentford on November 23.
It’s frustrating for the defender as he’s suffered with injury issues a lot already this season, which has seen him only start two games for the Toffees.
Many fans were left impressed with his solid display against West Ham United, but having already seen a setback after his performance against Crystal Palace, there will now be elements of doubt creeping in about when is too soon for him to return.
