Everton fans have endured some really difficult years watching the Toffees in recent years, but things are now different.
For the first time in a long time, Everton supporters are now able to enjoy watching their football club once again.
David Moyes has certainly played his part in pulling the Blues away from their recent relegation battles and into the top half of the table.
The Friedkins have sensationally boosted Everton’s finances as huge new levels of revenue streams into the club’s wallet just one year on from their arrival.
In turn, this has given them a greater ability to spend in the transfer windows, as Everton no longer fear FFP regulations.
Everton are just days away from the January transfer window and Moyes has taken the opportunity to share his actual thoughts on the American owners on their one-year anniversary on Merseyside.

David Moyes shares clear message to The Friedkin Group on Everton anniversary
Everton News columnist Alan Myers wants Everton to target three signings in the January transfer window.
Amid the club’s current injuries and other absences, the winter market could prove incredibly important for Everton’s hopes of pushing for Europe.
During his press conference on Friday, Moyes issued his thoughts on the club’s owners as they mark one full year since their takeover.
“First of all, we have to thank them for coming in and saving the club, really in many ways, and being the ones who put the money there,” said the 62-year-old.
How much do the Friedkins need to make available for David Moyes to spend in January? 💰
“I’ve been hugely impressed by the way they’ve gone about their business. I didn’t expect them to come and say: ‘Here’s bundles and bundles of cash, there you go, go and do what you want with it.’
“They’re a business and they want it to be done correctly. They’re going about their business quietly, but professionally.”
Everton are in the market for a new striker and full-back after what the 62-year-old manager has seen from the opening months of the 2025/26 campaign.
Injuries aside, the January window should be an opportunity for Moyes to fine-tune his squad, but those injury blows may scupper his plans.
The Friedkin Group have no reason not to back David Moyes
After concluding the last transfer window with nine new signings, Moyes was thrilled by Everton’s summer business to sign players like Jack Grealish.
Whether Everton will be able to make moves of that calibre in January remains to be seen, but exciting times certainly seem to be ahead for the club.
Why do you think Dan Friedkin still has not shown his face at Everton? 🤨
Since receiving the keys to Everton, Dan Friedkin has not visited his £400m purchase.
What Moyes has been able to achieve in dragging Everton up into the top half of the table should only provide the Friedkins with evidence to back their manager in January.
Moyes has set the target of European qualification, which is certainly a lofty ambition.
However, with some January additions and the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall available, the Blues could well mount a charge for those elusive spots.
