Everton’s dismal start to the season could be kickstarted into life over the weekend as they face Leicester City.

The Toffees have been left as the only side in the Premier League yet to pick up a single point from their opening four games.

For the second game in a row, Everton allowed a two-goal lead slip away from them as Aston Villa prevailed in the end.

As for Sean Dyche, the Everton manager has already called out the Everton fans following their opening defeat of the season.

But as the games go by, the pressure will be growing on Dyche to pick up the results with Everton currently slumped at the foot of the table.

What insiders are now saying about Sean Dyche’s Everton future

Saturday’s trip to Leicester City is going to provide the Toffees with a huge opportunity at three points coming up against a fellow struggler.

The Foxes have only been able to put two points on the board themselves which means a win would see Everton leapfrog Steve Cooper’s side.

However, there could be more than just three points at stake for Dyche despite receiving the backing of Farhad Moshiri at Everton.

According to Friday’s edition of the Daily Mail [page 84/85], Dyche still has the backing of the Everton board.

However, some insiders are now saying the club feel they are ‘stuck in the mud’ when it comes to deciding Dyche’s future with the takeover process ongoing.

John Textor’s bid for Everton is believed to be nearing an agreement with Moshiri with the American potentially having his own thoughts on the matter.

But it is believed Everton would look to hire a similar style of manager to Dyche if he was to depart his role.

Sean Dyche could relieve pressure with Leicester victory

Saturday’s trip to the King Power Stadium marks perhaps one of the biggest games of the weekend with both sides in need of their first win.

Although Leicester have two points on the board, Everton could climb up the table with a win on the weekend.

But if they are to taste defeat once again then the pressure is really going to ramp up on Dyche with it marking the fifth game of the season.

With the table about to begin to settle down following the opening weeks of the season, Everton really need to start putting some points on the board.
