Ultimately, he is one of, if not Everton’s best player, who is capable of producing moments of magic.
Everton are thought to value Ndiaye at at least £70 million, and there’s an argument to say the asking price should be a lot higher than that.
But the club stand to bring in a lot of money with this sale – and that means Everton need to be careful if they go after Jack Grealish.

Manchester City will have an eye on this situation with Ndiaye.
They’ve actually been linked with the player, but are probably unlikely to get involved if Al-Hilal are at the table.
But the concern here is that if Everton sell Ndiaye for huge money, they are potentially going to make it very tricky for the Toffees to bring back Jack Grealish.
If they know that Everton just completed a huge sale, they are not going to want to shift Grealish on the cheap.

He may only have a year left on his contract at the Etihad, but there’s been talk of him staying and getting a new lease of life under Enzo Maresca.
It will be particularly interesting to see if he accompanies his teammates on their trip to Asia for pre-season.
But Everton must ensure they don’t pay over the odds just because they would have brought in a huge amount from the Ndiaye sale.
It cannot cloud their judgement, and if Ndiaye does go, then the club would be better off waiting until the end of the window to swoop. At the end of the day, Grealish has a year left and there is a deal to be done here if Everton show patience.
That’s something that’s been floated anyway, but it would make even more sense if Ndiaye departs in the coming days.
Ideally, Everton will keep Ndiaye and still bring back Grealish.
Everton showed a lot more creativity when they had both of those players in the team last season, and it should be the goal to have them starting in 2026/27 again.
