Interest in the Premier League may have cooled of late, with the international break halting its progress, yet for Everton, there is never a day off.
After all, the club has been in a permanent state of unrest for just shy of a decade now, brought about by Farhad Moshiri‘s unstable leadership.
As his tenure has dragged on, the financial problems have mounted, coming to a head last campaign where Sean Dyche was forced to battle through two separate points deductions.
Alas, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, with the Iranian owners desperation to sell evident.

The Toffees remain a desirable prospect for a wealthy risk-taking businessman, even if their debts are only growing, with the club’s brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium one such factor.
John Textor has clearly been seduced by the prospect of buying into Everton, hence his continued efforts.
John Textor is ‘confident’ of completing Everton takeover
John Textor’s attempts to buy Everton have been lengthy, and yet seemingly no progress seems to be made.
However, his job has been made far more difficult by the two botched takeovers that came before him, with 777 Partners doing the most damage first before Dan Friedkin then weighted in with a loan of his own.
And yet, despite these outstanding issues which must be overcome to assume control, the American in question remains committed to the cause.
In fact, insiders at the club have even detailed how the 58-year-old is feeling about his chances, as Goodison News reports: ‘Goodison News has been told by a source close to the takeover process at Everton that Textor is confident of being able to complete a deal with Moshiri and once he does, he wants to take the club to another level by investing in the playing squad.’
What positions does Sean Dyche need to improve Everton in?
Were it up to Kevin Thelwell and Dyche, free from their financial constraints, their summer likely would have been a lot busier.
And that says a lot, considering the activity they did enjoy which saw them bolster in plenty of positions.
However, had they been given the backing of Textor, perhaps one of their many winger targets might have opted for Goodison Park instead of alternate moves, particularly Yankuba Minteh or Jaden Philogene.
Meanwhile, right and left-back remain two areas desperately in need of additional cover, and despite Everton wanting Kieran Trippier among others, nobody came in.
This has left their flanks worryingly bare, with that weakness already exposed three games into the Premier League season.
