The Friedkin Group are wasting no time in getting to work on Merseyside, with Farhad Moshiri’s mess to clean up at Everton.

Sean Dyche is set to stay as the manager of Everton, which hasn’t gone down too well with supporters.

Everything was going smoothly for the Toffees up until the Nottingham Forest games, despite having arguably the toughest run in the Premier League during December.

Everton find themselves just two points above dreaded drop zone with a game in hand to come against Liverpool, but that will have to wait until around February.

Despite only being at the club for around a couple of weeks, the Friedkin Group have wasted no time in identifying key areas of improvement.

The only thing that could result in the sacking of Sean Dyche would be for results to drastically go downhill, but they don’t want to leave it too late.

One of the dilemmas the new owners face is that they were criticised for acting too quickly to dismiss managers at Roma, so they won’t want to make the same mistake.

According to iNews, positive meetings have been held with Academy staff and the Friedkins have identified that department as critical in their blueprint for success.

It’s also stated that Gareth Prosser has pinpointed returning to a full-time training model – which would enable the Toffees to recruit younger players from across the country, rather than just within a smaller geographical radius – as key for progress.

What else do the Friedkin Group have lined up?

The report states the Friedkin Group wants to use the club’s move to the new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock to vastly increase commercial revenue, which is going to be all-important moving forward.

They want to sell naming rights to the new venue and there will be attempts to maximise partnership deals around the stadium, which opens next year. Test events are planned for the Spring.

It’s all positive things going on off the field at Everton, just the improvements are required on the field and in the January transfer window.

If there’s anything the new owners do this month it has to be bringing in a striker.
