Everton are looking to wrap up a deal for the Southampton talent Tyler Dibling in the coming hours.

Any move now will prove too late to feature in Everton’s stadium opener on Sunday against Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, Dibling will be hoping to take in the spectacle of the Hill Dickinson Stadium’s first Premier League game.

David Moyes has been unrelenting this summer in his pursuit for quality players to be added to his squad.

Over recent weeks, Moyes has demanded nine signings at Everton, following a busy summer of departures.

It looks as if Dibling could be set to become the latest addition, and what he has been telling close friends will be music to the ears of Everton fans.

Tyler Dibling desperate to make Everton move

Southampton lowered their asking price for Dibling, after weeks of holding out for a huge sum of money that they were never going to get.

Everton’s patience has paid off, with the Blues now set to welcome the 19-year-old on Merseyside this weekend.

According to TeamTalk, Dibling has told his close friends that he was set on joining Everton this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur showed interest in Dibling, and there was even interest from the likes of Crystal Palace.

But it was the project at the Hill Dickinson Stadium which appealed to the 19-year-old winger.

Despite the interest, Dibling remained professional and has been training like normal down at Southampton.

However, there was only one place where the youngster saw himself playing in the 2025/26 campaign.

Dibling will undergo Everton medical early next week

During Friday’s press conference, Moyes admitted Everton have money to spend this summer, but are struggling to find the right players.

Well, the Toffees now look set to land one of their top targets ahead of the likes of Spurs who can offer Champions League football.

It is a real coup for the Blues in landing one of the most promising young talents in the country.

A deal is expected to be wrapped up next week, with David Ornstein reporting a medical is set to be held early in the week.

Exciting times for Everton fans, who are now seeing their side come together ahead of the transfer deadline.
