Everton duo Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye have been away at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal over the last month.
Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye were in action for Senegal last night, helping their nation to a 1-0 win against Egypt.
Senegal’s national media gave glowing verdicts on the two Everton stars, who will now be preparing to face Morocco in the final.
Morocco knocked out Nigeria on penalties in the other semi-final, so they’ll be desperate to secure their first AFCON title since 1976.
With that said, here is when Everton can expect the returns of Ndiaye and Gueye.

When Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye will return to Everton
Senegal are set to face Morocco in the AFCON final on Sunday the 18th of January, so Ndiaye and Gueye will miss Everton’s trip to Aston Villa.
The Toffees duo will return next week, though, so depending on their condition after a taxing finale and travelling, they should both be available for selection against Leeds United later this month.

David Moyes’ side play host to Leeds at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on the 26th of January in the penultimate match of the month.
So, Harrison Armstrong will probably remain at Finch Farm right up until the end of the month before Moyes decides whether he should return to Preston North End on loan.
Moyes has admitted his preference is for Armstrong to finish the season at Preston to continue his development.
Harrison Armstrong has more time to shine
Whilst it’s probably not ideal from an Everton perspective for Ndiaye and Gueye to reach the final and delay their return, there is certainly a silver lining.
Armstrong has more time to shine in Gueye’s absence and can prove to Moyes why he should remain part of his first team this season.
James Garner said he’s been really impressed by Armstrong since he returned from Deepdale earlier this month.
The 18-year-old has been able to cement a place in the midfield over the last couple of games, even ahead of the more experienced Merlin Rohl.
So, evidently, Moyes has been pleased with what he’s seen from the England youth international.
