Everton duo James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have both been in fine fettle and Thomas Tuchel will soon name his latest England squad.

Everton have enjoyed a great season so far and are still firmly in contention to play European football next season – and both James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have made significant contributions.

As such, calls have been growing louder and louder for the pair to be called up to the next England squad.

The Three Lions have friendly matches coming up against Uruguay and Japan later this month, and it’s a very important international break, with the World Cup now only a few months away now.

But when will the squad actually be announced?

England squad announcement due as Garner and Dewsbury-Hall cross their fingers

As reported by talkSPORT, Tuchel will announce his latest England squad this Friday at 2pm.

The manager will then hold a press conference to explain some of his decisions.

And hopefully from an Everton point of view, we will be hearing the German speaking about why he has called up Garner and Dewsbury-Hall.

Neither player has ever made a squad before, but both have very strong cases to be included this time around.

Garner has been so consistent all season, and has shown an all-round game that has seen him dictate the tempo of games, but also be a disruptor for the Toffees. He has regularly been the true standout player for Everton.

Garner has also helped Moyes out a huge amount with his versatility, filling in at both right-back and left-back. And his level has rarely dipped.

Dewsbury-Hall has also been highly influential for Everton, scoring six goals and making five assists. These tallies would likely be higher had he not suffered that unfortunate hamstring injury in the middle of the season.

It was also revealed in recent days that Dewsbury-Hall has made the most ‘pressures’ for Everton this season, emphasise his great work-rate.

He’s developing into a complete midfielder, and those types aren’t all that common.

It surely cannot hurt for Tuchel to get Dewsbury-Hall involved in the next international break, for all the qualities he brings.

Needless to say, David Moyes thinks both Garner and Dewsbury-Hall should be in the next England squad.

Call-ups could boost Garner and KDH vs Chelsea

It would be brilliant if Tuchel did indeed call both Everton midfielders up.

Because this will likely have a positive effect on them ahead of Everton’s game with Chelsea on Saturday evening.

They’d be on a high from being selected, and likely be using their call-ups as fuel to show exactly why they were picked.
