Everton are preparing to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season.

After 133 years at Goodison Park, Everton are set to leave the historic ground in the summer for new beginnings at their state-of-the-art arena on the Bramley-Moore Dock.

The new stadium is widely considered one of the finest infrastructures in the country and it’s set to be transformative for the club’s finances.

The Friedkin Group are hoping to secure a £100m naming rights deal on Bramley-Moore Dock, so evidently, it will allow the club to spend much more freely in the transfer market without PSR restrictions.

Leading up to the stadium move, Everton plan to run test events and they held their first one on Monday night.

Everton’s under-18s played Wigan Athletic and 10,000 lucky fans were allowed to attend the historic debut fixture.

With that said, the club are planning to hold two more test events and here at the details of those below.

When is Everton’s next test event at Bramley Moore-Dock stadium?

The next test event at Bramley-Moore Dock will take place in either March or April and this time it’ll be an under-21s friendly match.

A club statement read: “The Club’s Under-21s will play a friendly for the second test event in late March or early April, when the capacity will be increased to 25,000*.”

It’s understood that restricted capacities are a requirement in the testing process for the club to obtain the relevant licence and safety certificates.

Supporters eligible to enter the ballot are:

Third test event not yet confirmed

Everton are also planning to hold a third test event later on in the season, however, there have been no further details on that just yet.

Considering the capacity increased from 10,000 to 25,000 between the first and second one, it’s likely they’ll allow more supporters to attend the third and final event.

Indeed, with the first-team playing their remaining fixtures this season at Goodison, it won’t be a first-team game.
