Sean Dyche’s Everton will take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Merseyside derby this weekend.
The Premier League match between Liverpool and Everton will be held at Anfield.
The Merseyside derby is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 pm UK time on Saturday.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is already moaning about yet another early kickoff for his time.
Everton, though, will be determined to win at Anfield.
The Toffees beat Bournemouth 3-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League before the international break.
So, I believe that Sean Dyche’s side will head into the Merseyside derby high on confidence.
Paul Merson predicts Liverpool vs Everton
Paul Merson has given his prediction.
The former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit has backed Liverpool to win the Merseyside derby 2-0.
Just like BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has.
The pundit, though, has noted that Everton could spring a surprise.
Merson told SportKeeda: “I think this is the perfect time to play Liverpool – after the international break.
“There are a lot of South Americans on the team who are coming back during the week, and it will depend on how the likes of Jota and Diaz are feeling when they are back.
“Liverpool have a lot of forward this season, and they will have the firepower to get the better of Everton.

“Everton are going to sit back and play on the counter, and they need to be at the top of their game.
“They are one of those teams that can surprise you, and they get results when you least expect it from them. They will keep it tight, but Liverpool will cause them problems.
“The gulf between these two teams is too big, and I don’t see how Everton can hold out this weekend.
“It’s extraordinary how big the gap between these two teams has become over the years.
“This game can be a leveller on a few occasions, but you watch both teams this season and you can’t see anything but a Liverpool win.
“Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Everton.”
My View: Everton could beat Liverpool
In my opinion, Everton could get the better of Liverpool at Anfield in the Merseyside derby this weekend.
Yes, Liverpool will head into the Premier League match as favourites, but that does not mean that anyone should write off Everton just yet.
The Toffees do have a good team, and in Sean Dyche, they have a manager who knows how to grind out results.
I do not expect Everton to play wonderful and pretty football.
It is very likely that Dyche will take a defensive approach to the match.
Liverpool are likely to have the bulk of the possession.
However, Everton could hurt the Reds on the counter.
Liverpool have conceded nine goals in eight Premier League matches so far this season.
It shows that the Reds are vulnerable at the back.
I believe that Everton could take advantage of that.Everton, though, need to be defensively solid and make no mistakes at the back.
