Everton have had their fair share of VAR controversy of late, and it’s now been revealed where they sit all-time on overturns in the Premier League.
The Toffees actually benefitted from a VAR decision over the weekend as Jack Clarke’s penalty was overturned after it was deemed that Dwight McNeil didn’t impede him.
This was a bittersweet moment for Everton, who were furious a very similar incident against Newcastle where Dan Burn appeared to impede Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Calvert-Lewin even came out after the game and said he felt it was a penalty.
Now, VAR expert Dale Johnson has revealed exactly where Everton stand when it comes to overturns in the Premier League.

Dale Johnson shares the Premier League VAR standings for decisions
The introduction of VAR has had its benefits at times, but more often than not, it’s caused plenty of pain and changed the way fans view the game.
There was an issue earlier on this season where Simon Hooper changed a penalty decision by looking at a monitor that appeared to not even be there, and that’s just one instance.
Interestingly, Everton haven’t been as unfortunate as fans may think, though this isn’t totally based on wrong decisions, so take it with a pinch of salt.
He claims that Everton are +1 for overturns all-time with VAR.
However, he does state this.
“For clarity, this relates to VAR overturns (not points). So Liverpool would have got -2 yesterday for the overturned penalty and onside goal for Chelsea.”
Everton can only focus on what’s ahead of them
The Toffees have a nice run of games, with Fulham, Southampton, West Ham, Wolves and Brentford over the next five.
Sean Dyche will see this as an opportunity to really climb up the table and possibly even into the top half, with players set to return from injury and spirits high at Goodison.
Iliman Ndiaye and Michael Keane were the two star performers for Everton against Ipswich, as well as a mention to Idrissa Gueye for his display.
Keane has had his critics but now looks to have given Dyche a selection headache ahead of the weekend, with Jarrad Branthwaite possibly back fit for Fulham.
