Everton made some signings in the summer transfer window to try and bolster their squad and it looks like the club and manager Sean Dyche have identified Wesley for the January transfer window.

Wesley is a 18 year-old footballer currently playing in Brazil for Corinthians. The attacker, who is around 5 foot and 9 inches, has been at the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A side for his whole career so far. He joined their academy when he was very young, and in January 2023 he left the U17 side to start playing for the U20 Corinthians team.
Wesley massively impressed the Brazilian club from the moment he joined the older age group. He made his first-team debut on the 20th April 2022 in the Copa do Brazil. He came on as a substitute in the match for Corinthians against Portuguesa-RJ.
In May 2023, just five months after joining the U20’s, Wesley was fully promoted to the first team squad and has cemented his place in the senior team. The player then made his first league appearance in Serie A on the 7th June as he came on as a substitute against Cuiaba.

Wesley was born on the 5th of March 2005 and he was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His father Wladimir was also a footballer who played in Portugal and Belgium. In the football world, he is known just as Wesley, but his full name is Wesley Gassova Ribeiro Teixeira.

Wesley is predominantly a left-winger, but he is very versatile and can play in multiple positions in the attack. Whilst playing in the first team for Corinthians, Wesley has played as a left-winger, right-winger, and also as a second striker.
