Everton’s future under the Friedkin Group is one still shrouded in mystery.
After all, whilst it seems like they will complete their takeover with ease, what they will then do once in power remains uncertain.
Already Dan Friedkin has started to pump money into Goodison Park, but it’s widely accepted that his revolution will not be an overnight process.
However, there are a few key considerations that the American must make to ensure that the steady progression of this club is maintained.

Chief among them is the head coach role, with Everton manager Sean Dyche still in the job at present.
That might be something that changes this summer though, when his contract expires.
Dan Friedkin wants to appoint Jose Mourinho at Everton
Having first spoken to TBR Football, detailing Everton’s interest in Jose Mourinho, Graeme Bailey was keen to expand upon his claims by speaking exclusively to Everton.News.
After all, it is an appointment that would baffle plenty around Goodison Park, with some suggesting a short-sighted mentality.
Whilst a legendary figure, the Portuguese coach has endured a polarising career, and unless backed could cause an upset on Merseyside.
That being said, Bailey has assured Evertonians that their interest in Mourinho is more of a sign of the times rather than a set-in-stone plan, simply diverging from rumours that Everton want to appoint David Moyes.

He revealed: ‘Long term it is no shock that Dan Friedkin wants Everton to rub shoulders with the very best, and no disrespect to Sean Dyche or even David Moyes who we could see come in, that isn’t happening with them.
‘Mourinho is someone Friedkin knows and trusts and going into the new stadium someone of his ilk would and is appealing.
‘Friedkin’s people are doing their work for the long-term appointment and Mourinho is someone they like, but it’s not a done deal but perhaps gives Everton fans a glance behind the curtain and gives them some real belief that the new owner will deliver going forward.’
Would Jose Mourinho be a smart appointment for Everton?
Although some might argue that Mourinho is far from the young, progressive boss many hoped Friedkin would opt for, few can deny his credentials.
After all, he has overseen some of the greatest footballers of all time, and won it all.
What makes the 61-year-old a particularly tempting option is that he has achieved success with all different types of teams too, taking Inter Milan and FC Porto to the Champions League title against all the odds, then managing expectations at Real Madrid, before more recently trying to fix the mess over at Manchester United.

His style may be pragmatic and his media comments might be controversial, but he would demand the very best, and would certainly attract that too.
Hopefully, if Friedkin does have his heart set on appointing Mourinho, he will also have the infrastructure and long-term strategy to forge the conditions that would allow him to build success.
Otherwise, it will prove another enormous waste of money.
