Carlos Alcaraz is David Moyes’ one and only signing from his second spell at Everton so far.
This came after a quiet transfer window at Everton as Moyes has saved money for the summer.
With Alcaraz’s deal being a loan, a £15m buy-option was included by parent club Flamengo.
There has been much debate on whether this option will be exercised or not, but Alcaraz had to play five more games, which he can no longer do.
However, a deal could still be done, but Moyes has opted against making this transfer fee happen.

Why Everton won’t be accepting Carlos Alcaraz clause
It was an impressive start for Alcaraz at Everton, but since his debut, the 22-year-old hasn’t really set the world alight.
Him starting two of Everton’s last seven exemplifies that and it doesn’t look good on the Argentine.
11 Premier League appearances altogether have seen him rack up just two goal contributions, proving he might not be the answer to Moyes’ creative spark.
However, according to Torcida Flamengo, the deal for the clause won’t be happening, but Everton might come to an ultimatum.
The report states that Everton may want to secure a ‘better deal’ for Alcaraz this summer if they are to sign him on a permanent deal.
For their part, the Toffee want to make an offer for him for ‘even lower’ than those currently established in his loan contract.
If Moyes wants him though, he will have to act quickly with other European teams interested.

Alcaraz should be signed by Moyes for Everton
Although he hasn’t been the game-changing signing that was expected, Evertonians have taken a liking to the midfielder.
Alcaraz loves Everton fans’ passion as he has compared them to South-American fans who are known for their brilliant but hostile atmosphere.
This shows why he would make an astute piece of business, as not only would it be a bonus if Everton get a lower fee, but he’s shown he can perform, maybe not as a consistent starter, but a strong option to have in the squad no doubt.

Moyes knows of his quality, but this could be the first sign of him playing hard ball with transfers.
If him and The Friedkin Group pull this off, it could turn out to be a masterstroke.
