Everton fans will no doubt be following the World Cup in America this summer.

Toffees supporters have four players to keep tabs on at the World Cup, with Jordan Pickford, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Iliman Ndiaye and Nathan Patterson representing their respective nations.

There are also a lot of other major sporting events on over the next few weeks, with Wimbledon fast approaching.

Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆

But, tonight it’s all about Mixed Martial Arts for many around the world, as the sport has its biggest moment in history.

The UFC are holding a fight card at the White House in Washington DC and there are two championship titles on the line.

In the co-main event, Alex Pereira takes on Ciryl Gane for the interim World Heavyweight championship, and Everton fans have good reason to get behind the Brazilian.

Why Everton fans should support Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane

Pereira is one of the biggest stars in the UFC, and tonight, he has the chance to make history on The White House South Lawn.

The 38-year-old can become the first ever UFC fighter to win three world titles at three different weight classes, going from middleweight (185lbs) to heavyweight (max 265lbs).

Many Toffees fans will be rooting for Pereira, as it appears as though he has a soft spot for the Merseysiders.

He has appeared on Everton’s social media channel a number of times and has met David Moyes’ playing squad.

Pereira even had a wrestle with our former left-back and now assistant manager Leighton Baines.

It’s fair to say it was a bit of a mismatch.

So, let’s hope the hard-hitting heavyweight can do the business tonight and send shockwaves across the sporting world.
