The Friedkin Group set demand for new Everton CEO that directly affects supporters

Everton are going through a period of change at the moment.

The Friedkin Group completed their Everton takeover in December and have already made a number of new hires in the board room.

Sean Dyche’s future has come under major scrutiny, too, but it seems he’s set to remain in post as West Ham have stolen a march in the race to appoint Graham Potter.

Kevin Thelwell’s position at the club is also uncertain as he enters the final six months of his contract at Goodison Park.

A new chief executive is high on the Friedkin’s list of priorities and now a fresh update on their search has just come to light.

Friedkin Group taking their time to find the right man

According to The Athletic, the Friedkin Group are in the market for a new chief executive and they will give them the role of the primary communicator with fans.

Their search for one is being led by recruitment firm Nolan Partners, who are biding their time to find the perfect candidate.

The Everton owners don’t want a quick fix as they’ve learnt their lesson the hard way at Roma. A more measured and thorough process is being carried out this time to make sure the hire is a success.

At the moment, however, it’s proving to be a difficult task as there aren’t many UK-based individuals who have the correct skillset to take the role.

Everton also want a permanent CEO

Everton are also keen to appoint a new permanent CEO but the absence of one won’t have any bearing on making big decisions.

So any forthcoming decision to sack Dyche won’t be delayed and the interim CEO Colin Chung will be consulted.

Everton chiefs Marc Watts and Brian Walker will be the main decision-makers as it stands.
